Changes to Grants coming soon!

It is the expectation of the energy efficiency industry that Ofgem will announce sweeping changes to the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) grant funds that are available at the start of 2017.
These changes look likely to restrict the amount of funding, especially to householders who are not in receipt of certain State Benefits.

There are currently up to 100% grants available for cavity wall and loft insulation, boiler replacements, night storage heater replacement, and Room in Roof insulation as well as a number of other incentives for people wishing to install renewable energy systems to their homes.

Many of these grants and incentives are available to all householders regardless of whether they are in receipt of benefits or not, but it appears this may not be the case for much longer.

If these announcements come to pass then this may be the last winter that householders will have the opportunity to take advantage of these energy saving opportunities
