Grants for Pensioners
Grants for Pensioners may well be available. If the oldest person resident in a UK property is over the age of 65, the grants listed below may be available for most UK postcodes. These applicants are seen as a “Priority group” and are given a higher priority than non priority group applications.
The following grants may also be available but no priority is given to residents over 65.
Insulation Grants
In the UK, pensioners aged 70 or older who claim benefits may be eligible for grants to help pay for loft insulation. These grants are part of the government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme, which aims to reduce carbon emissions in households that are in fuel poverty or have properties that are difficult to treat. The Great Britain Insulation Scheme (GBIS) is a complementary scheme to ECO4 that offers grants to pensioners who haven’t previously received government funding to improve their home’s efficiency
If you are a pensioner and wish to apply for a grant please visit the relevant page and complete the application form. Simply click the box below to visit our grants form pages.
New Boiler Grants
If you or anyone in your home receives Pension Credit (guarantee element), you could apply for grants to replace your boiler free of charge. Or have the cost heavily subsidised. Pensioners in the UK may be eligible for government-backed grants to help improve their homes’ energy efficiency and reduce heating costs. These grants are available to homeowners and private renters who receive certain benefits. Simply contact us to find put more, without any obligation on your part.
