Central heating boilers account for approximately 61% of what we spend on our energy bills, so it is essential the boiler you have is efficient!!
As you can see the boiler you have in your property needs to be working economically to save you money.
With the summer now well on the way this is a very good time to see just what you may be entitled to.
Boiler upgrade?
Very few people know that free or heavily subsidised boilers are available to install if you meet a certain criterion. This scheme (ECO4) was set up last April to help those on lower incomes who have old inefficient boilers replace or upgrade them free of charge.
The new generation boilers are so much more energy efficient that they not only heat better but cost far less to run.
If you meet the benefits related criteria it is likely you will qualify, it’s really as simple as that. In most cases, applicants can access between £7,000 and £20,000 or more of funding to install energy saving heating and insulation upgrades.
Will I have to pay anything towards the cost?
The ECO4 grant scheme is here to assist you and if you are eligible you won’t have to pay anything.
You could be entitled to:
- Boiler upgrade
- Air source heat pump
- Solar panels
- New economical electric storage heaters
