More homeowners in 2017 are taking take advantage of the offers the Government and energy companies put in place to assist reducing energy loss in our homes. This year has seen record levels of applications, homeowners are starting to reap the rewards of the energy saving initiative which is being pushed hard by the Government. Figures released show that 38.5% more enquiries have been made in the first 5 months of 2017 than the same period last year.
It would seem that all the campaigning is now beginning to have the desired effect. Consumers are looking to improve their homes by saving energy and in turn reducing their carbon footprint. One other major factor that the consumer seems to have latched onto is having the upgrades is increasing the value of their property significantly.
Loft insulation enquiries lead the way but central heating boiler replacements are a very close second.
The Government and energy suppliers take a very strong view that it is indeed easier to save energy than it is to build new sources of supply.
