Homeowners this year are showing positive signs of taking advantage of the offers the Government and energy companies have put in place to assist reducing energy loss in our homes.
Figures released by three of the main energy suppliers show that 41% more enquiries have been made in the first 4 months of 2016 than the same period last year.
What is significantly different to last year is that boiler replacement enquiries are neck and neck with loft insulation requests. Energy companies and the Government will be encouraged by the figures as they wish to promote as much energy saving as they possibly can. Both the Government and energy companies take a very strong view that it is indeed easier to save energy than it is to build new sources of supply.
It would seem consumers are getting switched on to saving money and in turn reducing their carbon footprint. With all the press lately reporting how an energy efficient house increases its value significantly its little wonder homeowners are beginning to act.
